PARIS MIKI undertakes a variety of initiatives that contribute to society.
Environmental Initiatives
Milling scraps generated when processing lenses, used molds, and other waste are collected and recycled.
When customers ask us to dispose of glasses, the frames are melted and some parts are reused as metal resources.
Beans®--An Original Nose Pad
In December 2007, PARIS MIKI developed a user-and environmentally-friendly nose pad using proprietary technology. The plastic part of the new nose pad, called Beans®, is made from an ecological material that is derived 100% from corn.

Donating Eyeglasses to Sri Lanka
| PARIS MIKI supports a program that donates eyeglasses no longer needed by customers to Sri Lanka. Since this program began in 1991, a total of more than 30,000 pairs of glasses have been donated to the people of Sri Lanka. Glasses collected from customers at PARIS MIKI stores are cleaned and adjusted before being delivered through the Embassy of Sri Lanka to people who need them. |

PARIS MIKI dispatched a disaster relief support team to the area affected by the Niigata Chuetsu Earthquake that struck on July 16, 2007 with its epicenter near the city of Kashiwazaki in Niigata Prefecture, Japan.
