In 1930, Seikakudo Tokeiten founded in Himeji City, Hyogo. Introducing the history of Miki and why our service was born form "adapt to each particular customer".

In 1930, founder Yoshio Tane (now deceased) started Seikakudo Tokeiten, the sale and repair store of clocks and eyewear.

Seikakudo Tokeiten founded in Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture by founder Yoshio Tane as a retail store engaged in the sale and repair of clocks and eyewear.

Jan. 1950

President Yoshio Tane established Miki Tokeiten Inc., an incorporated company of the sale and repair store of clocks, precious metals and eyewear.

Mar. 1960

The company renamed "Megane no Miki Inc." and business is shifted exclusively to eyewear retailing.

Mar. 1973

First overseas subsidiary, PARIS MIKI S.A.R.L., established in France and store opened on Rue de l’Opera in Paris.

Jan. 1974

PARIS-MIKI CO., LTD. established in Chuo-ku, Tokyo as a base for full-fledged opening of stores in eastern Japan.

The Okayama New Vision Club (currently the International New Vision Club) formed to succeed the Consumer Tester Group, which had convened to reflect customers’ opinions and requests in management.

July. 1978

Miki Optical Institute established in Okayama City, Okayama Prefecture to initiate research and development of new eyewear tailored to individual customers.

Nov. 1979

The Saidaiji store, the first suburban store, opened in Okayama City, Okayama Prefecture.

1980's - 1990's

In 1980's to 1990's, PARIS-MIKI CO., LTD. and Paris Miki Giken Co., Ltd. merged and renamed PARIS MIKI Inc. Head Office relocated to Chuo-ku, Tokyo.

Paris Miki Giken Co., Ltd. established in Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture primarily to conduct technical research and development of eyewear and optical instruments.

May. 1980

PARIS-MIKI CO., LTD. and Paris Miki Giken Co., Ltd. merged and renamed PARIS MIKI Inc. Head Office relocated to Chuo-ku, Tokyo.

Feb. 1990

POS system introduced at all stores to enhance customer service and increase the efficiency of sales, product, personnel and account management.

Feb. 1992

Announcement of technical cooperation with Shanghai University in China to train eyewear and optics professionals.

May 1992

AU frame made of 18K hollow tubular article was developed and commercialized.

Oct. 1992

First store in China launched in Shanghai on Jinling East Road.

Jan. 1994

Louvre Mikissimes (Paris, France) becomes the first venue for the Mikissimes Design System, in which eyewear is designed for individual customers by computer graphics incorporating artificial intelligence.

Sep. 1994

Mikissimes Design System introduced in stores in Japan.

Aug. 1995

Stock registered with JASDAQ as over-the-counter stock.

Dec. 1996

PARIS MIKI Inc. is listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

Aug. 1998

Listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

Sep. 1998

Shift begins from Company-owned stores to independent franchise stores.

2000's

In 2000's, Miki expanding business at home and abroad. Today, new services are started and various awards are won.

2000's

Feb. 2002

Awarded the Grand Prix in the Medium-Scale Division for Mikissimes Design System “mimir” at the 6th Information Systems Awards, sponsored by Nikkei Computer.

May. 2004

Head Office relocated to Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.

Apr. 2009

PARIS MIKI Inc. changed to a pure holding company and renamed PARIS MIKI HOLDINGS Inc.

Oct. 2009

MIKISSIMES GINZA opened in Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.

Jan. 2010

Took over the eyewear retail business from a long-established eyeglasses retailer “KIMPO-DO” and started business with a new subsidiary, KIMPO-DO Co. Ltd.

Feb. 2010

Head Office relocated to Gotenyama in Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo.

Jan. 2011

Took over the eyewear production facilities and other assets of Fukui Koki Co., Ltd. and begins an eyewear manufacturing business under a new subsidiary, Create three Co., Ltd.

Nov. 2012

Head Office relocated to Konan, Minato-ku, Tokyo.

Dec. 2014

Established Hattori & Dream Partners Ltd. in Vietnam for medical related business and opened “Japan International Eye Hospital” in Hanoi.

Jun. 2016

Philippines subsidiary opened its first store inside the Conrad Manila.

Dec. 2016

Head Office relocated to Kaigan, Minato-ku, Tokyo.

Jun. 2019

Acquired all shares of O.P.T make FUKUI Co., Ltd.

Aug. 2023

Head Office relocated to Konan, Minato-ku, Tokyo.
